While the fire and rescue service stood by

And the people waited We all looked around some of the aircraft at the Yorkshire Museum and waited for the mighty thunder

As the Mightily Hunter came over everyone pointed there camera to the sky

And got some photo's as the Mighty Hunter passed over head

Then in came in to land

As it passed by, the two aircraft came Side by side

It all came to a stop

16 March 2010 – A Windmill in York

I was driving along Holgate Road in York when I saw this windmill in amongst some house’s took a look and found this beautiful newly restored windmill.

After a taking a few photo’s I had a little search on google and found that the Windmill is run by the Holgate Windmill Preservation Society. There website is http://www.holgatewindmill.org/ where they have some wonderful pictures of the mill’s recent restoration. I also found the Opening Times here and some more photo’s of the mill been restored here.

I woke up this morning and fancied a walk, so I took a walk down to the Knavesmire (racecourse) in York; this is what it looked like at 7 O’clock this morning, so crisp.

I went out yesterday for a walk with some friends, the sun was out and there was crisp frost on the ground.

We had a response on our Facebook page: There’s no stream at the bottom of most Wolds valleys as the underlying geology is mainly chalk which is very permeable and so most streams flow underground for the majority of the year.
